Course Description

This EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training provides clinicians with the knowledge and skills to utilize EMDR therapy, a comprehensive understanding of case conceptualization and treatment planning, and the ability to integrate EMDR therapy into their clinical practice. An EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training provides, at a minimum, instruction in the current explanatory model, methodology, and underlying mechanisms of EMDR through lecture, practice, and integrated consultation.

Intended Audience

This EMDR Training is designed for licensed mental health professionals who work in a clinical setting. Intended Audience – Psychologists, Psychoanalysts, Social Workers, MFTs, Counselors, and Substance Abuse Counselors.

Skill Level

 This EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) basic training course is generally for the beginner level. The course is designed for licensed mental health professionals who treat children and adults in clinical settings. The courses aim to teach participants how to use EMDR therapy to treat a variety of conditions and self-esteem issues related to disturbing events and current life circumstances.

You must attend all training days and actively participate in all supervised practice exercises and group consultation sessions to receive a certificate of completion for this training. Those who attend this workshop in full and complete all the appropriate evaluation forms will receive CE credits. Those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time or leaving more than 15 minutes before the training is completed will not receive CE credits.

Cancelations:

After your application has been accepted, tuition is refundable upon written request up to 30 days before the first day of training less a $50 administrative fee.

Within 30 days of the training, a refund will only be made if the vacancy can be filled from the waiting list. If the vacancy can be filled, there will be a $150 administrative fee. Should you need to withdrawal prior to the training, the sooner you notify us, the more likely it is that we may be able to fill the vacancy.

After the beginning of the training, due to the small size of the training, no accommodations, refunds, or credits will be made for changes in personal, family or business situations including medical events. We do not fill vacancies that take place after the beginning of the training. If you requested to pay on an installment plan, you would continue to be charged the balance of your agreed upon tuition.

Should you need to withdraw after the start of the training for which you have registered, you may request a transfer to the next training cycle by submitting a request in writing along with the transfer fee of $150. At the next training cycle, you may repeat the portions previously completed, or merely those portions not yet completed. A transfer is not a new registration. Your original tuition is not refundable should you be unable to attend the next training program.

Grievances:

Our participants are our most important priority. We strive to ensure that we provide evidence-based training seminars and extraordinary customer service.

It is the policy of Scarlett Begonias Training Institute to address and resolve any problems or concerns a participant may have related to our courses and seminars in a timely fashion.

• First step: When a problem arises, the participant must contact the program director by phone or email.
• The director will make every effort to address and correct the problem to the complete satisfaction of the participant. The director will speak directly to the participant and try to resolve any problems or concerns.
• If the problem is not corrected, the next step is for the participant to submit in writing his/her grievance to the owner of the Scarlett Begonias Training Institute. The owner will meet with the director to further discuss and address all concerns to the participant’s satisfaction.
